Portsmouth, Ohio (June 6th, 2018) VANTAGE Workforce Solutions announced the promotion of Sarah Redoutey as Project Director for the Portsmouth Region of the Workforce Solutions program.
VANTAGE Workforce Solutions administers the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), which provides paid, on-the-job training to adults age 55 and older. The goal of the program is to help older adults retool their professional skills and gain full-time, unsubsidized employment.
VANTAGE operates the Workforce Solutions program in 38 Ohio counties. Sarah oversees 11 counties in the Portsmouth region, including Adams, Brown, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Lawrence, Meigs, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and Vinton Counties.
In her new role, Sarah will be enrolling new SCSEP participants, working with local nonprofit and government agencies as host sites to provide quality training, and helping current participants transition to unsubsidized employment. She was formerly the Southern Regional Training Specialist of the Portsmouth Region SCSEP, where she designed and implemented customer service and computer skills training as well as collaborated with outside training vendors to provide certificate training.
“I’m really thrilled to begin working in this capacity. VANTAGE has been a great organization to work for and the SCSEP program provides a much needed service to our older workers as well as our local nonprofit and government agencies,” said Sarah.
Previous to joining the VANTAGE team, Sarah had spent some time serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Shawnee State University as well as working with the Girl Scouts. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and is currently working on a Master’s in Public Administration from Ohio University.
Sarah’s role at VANTAGE Workforce Solutions helps older adults maintain their financial independence by getting them back on track to full-time employment and helping them meet their employment goals.
