1. What services do you provide?

VANTAGE Aging provides programs to support the needs of older adults. Our services include:

Workforce Solutions: Upgrade your skills with part-time, paid, on-the-job work experience at a community nonprofit or governmental agency. Get practical training and job coaching from our expert staff.

Home Wellness Solutions: Stay independent in your home and active in your community with services like household cleaning, personal care, and companionship.

Meals on Wheels: Receive nutritious, home-delivered meals from a staff that is professionally trained to identify potential safety issues.  Congregate dining options are also available.

AmeriCorp Senior Volunteer Program: Find a nonprofit volunteer activity that matches your talents, experience, and schedule.

2. Who is eligible for your services?

Each of our programs have specific age and income eligibility requirements based on federal, state, or local guidelines. Many of our programs are designed for homebound clients of any age and aging adults.

We do offer private pay options based on sliding fee scales to assist all income levels and are pleased to offer our professional assistance to family members caring for an aging loved one.

3. I live out of state and want services for a loved one. Who do I call?

Contact our administrative offices toll free at 800-554-5335 or locally at 330-253-4597 for the receptionist to direct you to the correct service.  We are happy to provide assistance to any qualifying program and will work to accommodate a coordinated care program for your loved one.

4. What are your hours?

8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday-Friday.

5. How can I support your work?

Supporting VANTAGE Aging starts with sharing our positive view on aging. There are several ways to help older adults age in place, including:

  • Donate, shop, or give to the Senior Love Endowment Fund at the Akron Community Foundation
  • Host a community event
  • Use our social enterprises
  • Make your company an employment host site
  • Join the conversation on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn

6. Who do I talk to about volunteering?

7. What is your Federal Tax ID number?

VANTAGE Aging is a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit and our Federal Tax ID number is
51-0148544.

8. How do I get into orientation?

Please contact the Project Director located in the region where you reside.  Visit our map for contact information.

9. How do I apply for employment with VANTAGE?

10. How old do I have to be for the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)?

55 and up.

Under 55 years old but want to put your expertise to work? Job seekers 50 and up should contact the Encore Staffing Network for a part-time, paid position with a nonprofit or government agency.

11. Do you offer transportation?

Our corporate headquarters is located at 388 South Main Street Suite 325, Akron, Ohio 44311.

Our off-site locations are located on or near public transportation.  Please contact our office for further information.

12. Do you offer home repairs or pay rent?

No, but we would be happy to direct you to partner agencies offering that service.  Please contact our administrative offices at 330-253-4597 for assistance.
