Who is eligible to receive Meals on Wheels?

We have over 30 different funding sources that contract with MOWA, such as:

  • Title III C-2
  • MyCare Ohio
  • Medicaid Waiver
  • Passport
  • Care Coordination

How much do meals cost?

Meals on Wheels provides an excellent value for what you receive.

Our team assists with your individual needs based on a personal interview and assessment. Meals are provided by your insurance provider, donation or private pay.

  • Private Pay $8.85
  • Title IIIC (Older Americans Act funding/ donations)
  • Care Coordination through Direction Home
  • PASSPORT
  • MyCare Ohio
  • Waiver (Medicaid program for people under 60)
  • We accept checks, debit cards, and credit cards

For clients participating in the IIIC program, we do request a $3.25 donation per meal.

What are the meals like?

We offer the following:

Hot and cold meals are made fresh daily in our Massillon Commissary.  Each meal features healthy portions including an entrée, side, vegetable/fruit, dessert/juice and milk choice.  Meals have no added salt.  We can also chop the protein for those who have difficulty with cutting meat.

Frozen meals come in quantities of 2 or 5 and individuals may chose the type of milk.  Meals are either a breakfast or dinner type of meal.

Pureed meals are also offered to individuals who require this type of therapeutic meal.

How often does the menu change?

Our menu is rotated monthly and offers a seasonal selection to provide clients with a healthy variety of meals to choose from.

What are my delivery options?

Hot and cold meals are delivered between 10:45-1:00 M-F

Frozen meals are delivered between 8:00-2:30 M-F
