Akron, OH (February 20, 2019): Meals on Wheels of Northeast Ohio, a program of VANTAGE Aging (formerly Meals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Counties) has cancelled meal deliveries in Stark and Wayne Counties for February 20th.
<“Due to the continued snowfall expected to take place during regular delivery hours, we have decided to cancel meal services to Stark and Wayne Counties,” states Ted Watko, COO of VANTAGE. “We depend on volunteer drivers to serve meals in these areas, and we must take their safety into consideration when inclement winter weather occurs.”
Regular meal delivery in Stark and Wayne Counties is expected to resume tomorrow, Thursday, February 21, 2019.
Clients in Summit County will receive their regularly scheduled meals today, and other VANTAGE Aging programs will continue as scheduled. Meal cancellation does not affect VANTAGE’s other senior services.
