Please join us for an event designed to help you learn about programs offered by Mature Services and other community service agencies. Meet with representatives from Axess Pointe Community Health Center, Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, Community Support Services, The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Metro RTA, Simply EZ Home Delivered Meals and many more. Prepare your questions and come to the fair!
According to Karen Hrdlicka, CEO and President of Mature Services, “This event has blossomed in our community, a strong indicator that the need for support services targeting older adults is growing daily. Last year’s event was a huge success, and the number of businesses and agencies continuing to collaborate with us has increased as a result. Giving older adults the opportunity to obtain the federal and locally funded food market vouchers, access to the markets and fresh food, allows us to support seniors in a positive way.”
During the event, the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank will be giving out fresh produce and shelf-stable foods to health fair attendees. Students from Akron Public Schools are volunteering to help assist with carrying boxes. Please bring a shopping bag for produce.
