VANTAGE’s Home Wellness Solutions program has received grants from CareSource, Corbin Foundation, and Akron Community Foundation to serve seniors in Summit County! Your support is critical for us to continue providing small supports services that help older adults live in their own homes with independence and dignity. Thank you!
VANTAGE Home Wellness Solutions provides non-medical services that help seniors live at home, rather than be prematurely or inappropriately placed in a nursing home facility. Home Wellness Solutions provides assistance with activities associated with daily living, including housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, personal care, and wellness assessments.
Programs like VANAGE Home Wellness Solutions play an important role in our community, and will continue to be a vital resource as the aging population grows. Currently, older adults make up 22% of Summit County. By 2023, older adults are projected to be 30% of the Summit County population, with a predicted 150,000 individuals over age 60.

Your support has a huge impact on the lives of your senior neighbors. Small supports help older adults remain in their own homes, where they want to be.
In 2018, Direction Home Akron Canton Area on Agingreleased its Summit County Older Adults Needs Assessment, which found that 94-100% of older adults and caregivers believe that it is very important or somewhat important to remain in their homes.
We are all getting older. And, chances are, many of us and our loved ones will need some form of care or assistance. Creating sustainable home wellness programs and senior services will help to ensure that seniors wishing to stay in their homes can do so healthily, happily, and with dignity.
Supporting VANTAGE Home Wellness Solutions provides services for seniors in need in Summit County. Here is how your dollars help:
- Simple Supports: $25.00 per day or $200 per month can provide a homebound senior with home or personal care to help them remain independent and at home.
- Clean and Healthy Homes: $210.00 per day can provide the deep cleaning services many seniors can no longer manage in their own home.
