VANTAGE Aging Names Next CEO

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New leader to head senior services nonprofit beginning in March

AKRON (February 22, 2023) – Summit County’s leading senior services provider has selected its next CEO.

Kim Ventresca, who currently serves as chief operating officer for Red Oak Behavioral Health in Akron, will take over as head of VANTAGE Aging on March 13. She was chosen following a month-long search process led by Independence-based firm Ratliff & Taylor.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kim to VANTAGE Aging and look forward to supporting her in furthering the organization’s mission and goals,” VANTAGE Aging board President Rick Hawkins said. “Our search committee conducted a careful and thoughtful search for our next leader, and Kim quickly emerged as our clear and unanimous choice.”

Ventresca brings more than 20 years of experience working in the social services and nonprofit sector, including working with aging adults. Prior to joining Red Oak, she was the director of human resources and training for Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, which plans and administers state and federal aging programs for four counties.

She is a licensed independent social worker and holds a Master of Science degree in social administration from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in business administration from Baldwin Wallace University.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead VANTAGE Aging – a truly impactful organization that is meeting a critical need in our community,” Ventresca said. “I am committed to helping advance VANTAGE’s mission of promoting a positive perspective on aging as we continue to work hard to provide seniors with access to high-quality services.”

“We believe Kim’s dedication to empowering aging adults, coupled with her strategic and collaborative leadership style, make her the right fit to lead VANTAGE Aging,” said Ron Van Horn, VANTAGE Aging board member and chair of the search committee. “With her strong background and passion for aging-in-place initiatives, we are confident she will be a highly successful CEO.”
