Vantage Aging staff gathered to celebrate a special milestone as Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro and Akron Mayor Shammas Malik officially proclaimed the day "Vantage Aging Day" in recognition of our 50 years of service to older adults. |

We were also honored to receive commemorations recognizing our 50th anniversary from the Ohio House of Representatives, sponsored by Representative Veronica Sims, and from the Ohio Senate, sponsored by Senator Casey Weinstein. In addition, Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel provided official recognition of this significant achievement.
We extend our sincere gratitude to these elected leaders for helping us celebrate five decades of service and impact in our communities. Their recognition reflects the dedication of our staff, volunteers, board members, partners and supporters who have made Vantage Aging's mission possible. |

RSVP volunteers make a big impact! |
A volunteer hour is estimated to be worth $36 - even though we know it's priceless! These hours really add up for our stations. So far in 2026, RSVP volunteers have given 4,957 hours of their time, equaling $244,276 in savings! Way to go volunteers! |
