Alcohol and Drug Addiction Treatment

Substance use disorders are often difficult to diagnose in older people as symptoms can be masked by existing physical conditions, such as dementia, depression or even diabetes. There is a greater risk of harmful interactions caused by mixing medications with alcohol or other drugs.

Alcohol and Drug Counseling Groups

Intensive Outpatient Group Counseling program (IOP)

Clients get help in a family-like environment and build a community with others in recovery. IOP is an 8-week class that only requires a few hours a day, so individuals do not have to uproot their lives. Clients can continue to work and maintain the ability to support themselves and their families in a less restrictive atmosphere. Clients set realistic goals and actively participate in their recovery. Individuals learn how to improve daily living skills, socialization, and problem-solving. Clients keep their privacy and pay less money while working towards sobriety. Lunch is provided.
