FOR CLIENTS AND CAREGIVERS

Who is eligible to receive Meals on Wheels?

Meals may be authorized as part of the following programs:

  • Title III C-2
  • MyCare Ohio
  • Medicaid Waiver
  • Passport
  • Care Coordination

We also accept private pay.  If you have any question about funding options call us at (330) 785-9770.

How much do meals cost?

Meals on Wheels provides an excellent value for what you receive - a freshly prepared meal delivered right to your door. Meals are $6.00 each for private pay clients. For Title III program clients there is a suggested donation of $2 per meal received. However, we respect participants who are unable to make a donation, and a donation is never required to receive a Title III meal.

What are the meals like? Can I get a sample?

All meals are prepared fresh and made locally. Each meal features healthy portions including an entrée, side, vegetable, bread, dessert, and beverage. We would be happy to send you a free sample meal. Here’s a sample menu.

Are diabetic and other diet-specific meal options available?

Meals on Wheels happily offers an a la carte meal plan as we prepare and package entrée, sides, and vegetable individually.  You are then provided the opportunity to select your meal based on your individual dietetic needs as a simple and effective way to  manage your own blood glucose levels.  With this method, simply fill your plate with food consisting of non-starchy vegetables, protein, and low-sugar items.

How often does the menu change?

The menu is on a six-week rotation with different meal items offered every two months. Menus are reviewed and updated, taking customer feedback into consideration.

What are my delivery options?

For your convenience, we offer weekly and biweekly meal delivery. Monday through Friday between 9 am to 6 pm.  Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee your delivery at a specific time of day. If a situation should arise that prevents you from being home on your delivery day to receive your meal order, you can conveniently cancel or reschedule your delivery by calling us (330) 785-9770.
